In this tutorial we are going to show how to use the Alpha channel and the Opacity map within 3ds Max. Alpha or opacity are often used in games. Game engines cannot handle many polygons so if we have to create a tree in real time, instead of creating each leaf, we will use a leaf map with its alpha map.
