The Birds is one of Hitchcock’s most beloved horror films. Released in 1963, the film is set in the seemingly idyllic and glamorous Bodega Bay of California. Before long, things take a sinister turn, with a series of increasingly violent bird attacks casting a cloud of fear over the city of Calm Seas.
In the tutorial that we’re going to follow, we’ll see how to create a poster homage to Hitchcock’s film masterpiece, taking inspiration from one of the film’s most intense scenes, in which a flock of crows slowly and menacingly gathers in a school playground. We will be using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to put together the poster, if you are new to all or some of these software this is a fun and easy way to follow tutorial.
